Fall Break

We spent a perfect long weekend in Watercolor. Hot and humid but we were not complaining. I had so much fun playing in the sand and water with K and as much fun watching her play. We spent 8 hours at the beach on Saturday and she did not stop all day. I love this age, she is independent enough to entertain herself all but still young enough to delight in the simple joys of playing in the water and the sand.

Colonial Day

K's school had Colonial Day recently and one of the volunteer opportunities was working at the petting zoo. I love petting zoos so of course that is what I signed up for. I always laugh so hard when I watch the kids with the animals. The kids had a great time-I think the St. Francis statue is a nice touch. Pics from my iPhone.

K loved this chicken and wants one in the worst way.

Is your mama a llama? Ooops, I mean alpaca.

How cute is this cow??????

Floods

Terrible flooding in Atlanta last week. We had minor flooding in our basement and garage but we have friends who had horrific damage. Lisa (of SKM fame) had 2 feet of water in her house-most eveything was destroyed including her cars. Another good friends parents who live near us had 5 feet of water in their home. These pictures were taken from our back door.

Sweet Terri

Your infectious laugh and your sweet smile. Your big bear hugs. You were so gracious, kind and sweet. You fought so hard over the past few years and never complained. You always had a smile on your face. Your wonderful sweet girls are a testament to what a great mother you were. You will be missed by so many people.
