Bowling with the Taylors

We just love this family! Little Gunner is getting so big. He has such a cute personality, he cracks me up. And he is a pretty good little bowler!

Basketball

So glad that basketball season is over. K had a coach who reminded me of Bobby Knight! The girls were often in tears by the end of the game. I told K that she could quit, I am not one to encourage quitting but watching how upset the girls were broke my heart. K stuck it out and I am so proud of her!

Often it looked like they were playing rollerball instead of basketball

6:45 AM

This was the view from our house at 6:45 this morning. Not a lot of snow but the the roads are very icy so school was cancelled. I tiptoed into K's bedroom to tell her that school was cancelled and she could sleep in. She sat bolt upright, screamed "SNOW" and leaped out of bed. She was dressed within moments.

Here she is outside in the dark cleaning off her play set. It was 16 degrees.

Happy as can be!!! Within moments Ellie and Annie came over to play. It is now 5PM and the three of them have only come inside once for a brief lunch break.

Last Day of Christmas Vacation

Today is the last day of Christmas vacation. We have had so much fun-nice and relaxing. I'm noticing from my photos that K spent much of the vacation in her jammies!

Doing experiments with K's chemisty set

Making bubble gum with K's bubble gum factory

Decorating gingerbread men

Stringing popcorn and cranberries

Breakfast with John and Kathryn

We had a fondue party one night

More Skating!

More skating-this time with Sheila and her nieces and nephews. How lucky we are to have a skating rink right around the corner from our house!

The Best Christmas Ever

K declared that this was her best Christmas ever. I was a little worried because I did not think that Santa would have a puppy, a kitten or an iTouch on his sleigh. No matter, because K has decided that Santa is a mind reader-she loved everything that he brought. Our day was nice and relaxing for a change-usually we run around to several different parties starting with a brunch. It was nice to be at home all day.

Who knew that tic tacs could bring such joy?

She did eventually get dressed late in the afternoon

Skating at the St. Regis

Skating at the St. Regis with the Taylors and a few other friends. This cute little rink is just the right size. And they serve the yummiest hot cider and hot chocolate.
