Outumbered!!!!!!

So the Taylor family who we rented a house with over spring break has 3 daughters. Add K and me to the mix. Ginger and Anna came down for a few days. And Elaine and Charlotte with Annalisa in tow spent a day with us. Yep, the boys were totally outnumbered. It didn't seem to bother them. I am so smitten with little Gunner and his blond curls. K on the other hand calls him the "little drooly guy" and wants nothing to do with him.

A Little Chilly

We had a couple of chilly days while we were on spring break but it didn't slow us down! We bundled the kids up and went to the park, bike riding and played mini golf.

Anna's Birthday

We celebrated Anna's birthday while we were on spring break. Hard to believe that this is her 4th birthday since she has here from Kazakhstan. The first year she had just gotten home and the following year we were so lucky that we got to celebrate her second birthday at home while we were all on spring break in Nevis. This year we were in Watercolor and I baked cupcakes for the occasion. Happy birthday Anna!!!!!

Aiden enjoyed the cupcakes!

Spring Break!

Look who learned to ride a bike on spring break! This has been a long time coming! We live in a house that is on a hill and our street is very hilly also so it is not conducive to bike riding. Then I had a broken arm for a while so could not load the bike in the car to take K to the school track to practice. She finally learned a couple of years ago and then had a bad crash and has been scared ever since. She still has a scar on her cheek from where she hit her cheek on her handlebar. I was returning our 3 kiddie carriers (long story) and I had rented a bike for K and asked her to wait for me in the parking lot. When I finished up with the kiddie carriers, she was riding around the parking lot! We had such a great time biking together!!!!

Cowgirl weekend

I am so behind in blogging. Weekend before last was a nasty, rainy, cold weekend. Poor Stacy's four children had all been sick, she was sick and I was sick. K has it this week. Stacy decided that she had to get out of the house so we decided to head out to a children's museum in Cartersville. Stacey's dad went earlier this year and he liked it so much, he joined. I read in the paper that there was a big cowboy festival going on. So we bundled up the kids who weren't sick and headed out. K was extra excited because Stacy drove and K just loves Stacy's car. A minivan. Stacy would like nothing more than a new car. K loves the minivan because it has a built in DVD player. K and I were talking about Stacy's car and how she always crashes into things. K quickly came to Stacy's defense and said that it is not Miss Stacy's fault it is because she has so many kids and someone is always saying "Mom, look at that!" so she is distracted a lot. K was also excited because I told her there was a place where you could pan for gems at the museum. K is all about gems!
We arrived at the museum and headed for the kids area which was downstairs. We did all of the fun activities-rode a horse and a stagecoach and did some fun crafty things. We all got hungry so we went upstairs to eat. They had a chuck wagon going on but it was outside and the weather was so bad so we ate inside. After lunch, we asked about the gems. Turns out were we at the wrong museum. We were at the cowboy museum, the gems are at the children's museum. We did not realize there were two museums in Cartersville. Ooops! The museum we were at had a great collection of Western Art, Civil War Art and Presidential Art. We will have to plan a trip to the children's museum for another weekend and some gems.
